11. Supported Housing/Bridge Subsidy: Supported housing provides consumers the option to live in

That means how long the staff is there at my 8-16 group home the staff usually there 8-hour shift sometimes was there 16 hr. during Christmas.

"They give you G.A (general assistance, calling 808-832-3100 is CARES Hawaii, they will help you with everything) that is the financial money that also pays for the group home rent was $103.50 plus utilities $80.00 so that was determined by my G.A (General Assistance) and 30% so if you get a job, it will be 30% of your income. G.A gave me $375.00 a month rent was $103.50 utilities was $80.00 so I had $195.00 left for laundry detergent, shampoo, toilet paper each month. Some clients used Walmart delivery ("50% off Walmart Plus with benefits" use as keywords in search engine if you have SNAP MedQuest any type of benefits G.A) to deliver their groceries to the group home. Instacart they also used that which also takes SNAP.

when you receive the higher amount either SSDI or G.A they automatically give you the higher amount and cancel the other one.
 
SSA is probably going to ask you to get a representative payee which i would use Helping Hands they are what i used instead of entrusting friends and family as my rep payee, just write down Helping Hands and ssa will contact them to be your rep payee, if you have questions: hhh@helpinghands.org their rep payee email. 
 
With SSDI you will get Medicare (if you didn't have Medicaid yet apply online over the phone of at their office is the above info) with Medicare and medicaid you will be able to get duo from many places like HMSA but I think United Health Care UHC is better, they give a U card with $103/month you can use it for rent, food, cell phone, OTC is over the counter products like toothpaste and mouth wash handi wipes Asprin. It renews every month so left over money from the month before is replaced with the $103.00. They have an a United health care app you can do the rewards and get extra money per month to spend on any purchase. With UHC duo you also get a free gym membership (free warm shower) also at Patsi mink park by Olympic sized pool. 
 
if you want to goto work more than 19 hrs a week you can for nine months and also receive SSDI with your 35hr a week job, after nine months they stop benefits but they said I can apply again when I need it.

subsidy allows consumers to pay no more than 30 percent of their entitlements for rent.

 

11. Supported Housing/Bridge Subsidy: Supported housing provides consumers the option to live in

permanent housing of their choice with service to successfully assume the role of tenant and

neighbor. This occurs in settings where an individual can live either alone, with a relative, or with

friends in a home or apartment without regularly structured supervision from supported housing

and mental health staff. Mental health staff provides support that is separated from the living
